Our Chaldean Youth participating in Australian Catholic Youth Festival

Under the patronage of His Grace Archbishop Mar Amel Nona the highest respect, St. Thomas Chaldean youth, along with two of our priests participated in the Australian Catholic youth festival that was held last week Thursday to Saturday 7-9/ 12/2017 in Sydney Olympic Park.
This festival is a national gathering of Australian Catholic young people from all churches, established by Australian Catholic Bishops Conference (ACBC), to provide young people to deepen their relationship with Jesus, be empowered to be disciples in today’s world.
The festival included many spiritual, educational, historical and fun programs and performances, in where our Chaldean youth have their own participation that included a speech by His Grace Archbishop Mar Amel Nona the highest respect, and a drama play performed by a group of our Chaldean youth about the discrimination of our people in Iraq and some other activities.
The festival was the biggest Catholic gathering in Sydney since World Youth Day 2008, it launches a national year for youth which celebrates 10 years since Australia hosted World Youth Day
