His Grace Archbishop Amel Nona meeting the Federal Prime Minister of Australia

Responding to the invitation of Mr. Malcolm Turnbull (Australian federal prime minister), His Grace Archbishop Amel Nona along with the Bishops and representatives of Eastern churches have met the PM Turnbull in his office in Sydney last Thursday 13/12/2017. This meeting was regarding their concern about the same-sex marriage law and its outcomes on the freedom of religion, speech, education and work and many other aspects. Mr. Turnbull listened attentively to all perspectives that been presented by the Eastern Churches Bishops, responding and showing high respect to all concerns and promising to put this important in priority within the federal committee schedule to be discussed in attempt to ensure all rights are respected and protected within the Australian law
