Continually with the series lectures of His Grace Archbishop Mar Amel Nona during Lent, the sixths lecture (Madness) was presented last sunday 4/7/2019 at St. Mary’s assumption Chaldean Church in where His Grace spoke about the condition of madness according to the Bible and how it is referred to ignorance based on the teaching of the wises who warn the inexperienced young people from being ignorant of the word and Law of God. Furthermore, His Grace also extended his speech to give an idea about the condition of madness in our faith, the positive and negative madness, and how we are called to have the positive madness which is the condition of the believer who live contrary according to the world while he accept and live deeply in harmony according to his faith, following Jesus and His teaching, following the Holy Bible and the teaching of the Church. Moreover, His grace concluded the topic highlighting on the importance of accepting the mentally disabled person in our life not as a burden but as a grace, to learn not only how to give him our love and attention but to receive from him the true humanity in its pure image as it was in man before the sin, the true purity and love that the mentally disabled person has is that which we hope and wish to have, therefor our mission as Christians is not only to help, serve and give to the disabled person, yet it is to receive him and receive from him, it is to learn from him how the true love and humanity is.
Next and last lecture of Lent will be on Palm Sunday 14/4/2017 at St. Thomas Cathedral, at 6:00pm, titled (Blood flowing )
