The AMEC members visiting Archbishop Makarios Griniezakis

On last Monday 16/12/2019, the AMEC members visited His Grace Archbishop Makarios Griniezakis, the new Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Church in Australia, to congratulate him on his new appointment. The Bishops discussed how to cooperate and unite all the efforts, especially about issues and challenges facing churches and Christians in Australia regarding civil legislation and laws, and they agreed that all the work and attitudes should be common.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Bishops joined His Grace Archbishop Makarios for lunch, before he farewells them with a warm appreciation.

It is worth noting that the number of the Greek Orthodox Church members in Australia is nearly one million.

قام مجلس أساقفة الكنائس الشرقية الرسولية في سدني بزيارة سيادة المطران ماكاريوس كينيزاكيس رئيس أساقفة الكنيسة اليونانية الأرثوذوكسية الجديد في استراليا لتهنئته على منصبه الجديد وذلك نهار الاثنين الماضي 16/12/2019. وقد تناقش الإباء الأساقفة في كيفية التعاون وتوحيد الجهود خاصةً فيما يخص القضايا والتحديات التي تواجهها الكنائس والمؤمنين المسيحيين في استراليا فيما يخص التشريعات والقوانين المدنية، واتفقوا على ان يكون العمل والمواقف مشتركة.

في ختام الزيارة اشترك السادة الأساقفة الاجلاء في وجبة غداء مع سيادة المطران مكاريوس قبل ان يودعهم بدورة بحفاوة ومحبة غامرة.

يجدر بالذكر ان عدد المؤمنين في الكنيسة اليونانية الأرثوذكسية في استراليا يقارب المليون مؤمن.
